Vagner Love arrived in CSKA in the second half of 2004 and soon in its first season in Europe, he showed that the high investment of the Russian club in his soccer paid off. In 21 matches in season, the forward scored 13 goals and helped his team to be the champion of the most important championship of the club history: 2004/2005 UEFA Cup.
For four and a half years in the Russian soccer, Vagner Love won eleven championships for CSKA and always scored goals at the most important moments. The forward scored at the final match of UEFA Cup, against the Sporting, of Lisbon, at the end of the 2007 Supercup in Russia, when CSKA defeated Spartak, 4 x 2 and in other decisive moments. Currently, Vagner is one of the main idols of the CSKA fans.
In 2008, Vagner Love had his best season in the Russian club: in 33 matches he scored 29 goals, with an exceptional average of 0,87 goal a match. The scorer was elected the Best Player in the Russian Premiere League in 2008 and in the following year he was the top scorer in the UEFA Cup 2008/2009 with 11 goals in 9 matches.
He is the CSKA supporters idol, Vagner Love was lent to Palmeiras in August 2009 and He played in the Brazilian soccer until July 2010.
Back to CSKA, the Top Scorer of Love had his new debut playing a derby, against Spartak, and returned giving the fans reasons to smile. Love scored the victory goal in stoppage time.
